Fall Festival
Fall Festival

Liberty Fall Festival On Thursday, October 31, students at Liberty Elementary were able to participate in Liberty’s Fall Festival! The students were able to rotate through five different stations throughout the morning. At the first station, students engaged in apple tasting with green and red apples. Once students were finished tasting, they were asked to vote for their favorite and create a grade level graph. While at the second station, students had the opportunity to conduct various pumpkin investigations. Students were asked to weigh pumpkins, measure the circumference, guess and count the number of seeds inside and decide if a pumpkin will sink or float. The next station students visited was the S’mores station. They gathered around the “campfire” and listened to a story while waiting for their turn to make a snack bag of S’mores to take home. They had to follow the recipe and measure out the correct amount of ingredients to add to their bag. The fourth station for students was Bingo in the library. Students had to identify the answer to a fall riddle and mark their board. Students who earned a bingo, were able to pick a prize to take home. The final station was an art activity in the classroom. Students listened to the story “A Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything” by Linda Williams. Once students were finished listening to the story, they worked to create a character from the story. It was an amazing day and students did a wonderful job rotating through the stations and following the Liberty expectations.
