2014-2015 PBIS Kickoff Celebration
This is the image for the news article titled 2014-2015 PBIS Kickoff CelebrationLiberty Elementary School decided to go back to the PBIS basics.  PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Instructional Strategies. PBIS uses language and modeling on expected behaviors throughout the areas of the building.  When students are noticed as modeling the expected behavior, they are rewarded in various ways.  Each week a new HERO tool is introduced.  For example, this week's HERO tool is Keep Hands, Feet and Objects to Self.  HERO tools keep students aware of expected behaviors.

The staff at Liberty collaborated on creating the videos of expected behaviors in all areas of the school. The students were introduced to the videos this week.  HERO tokens were given out, and the finale to the PBIS kickoff week was the Play Like a HERO Celebration!
